Overview
Founded in 2020, DRIMCo GmbH is a Munich-based startup that digitises industrial requirements in tender documents and optimises business processes using artificial intelligence and natural language processing technologies.
We are seeking a talented Application Support Engineer to join our team, initially as a contractor. The primary focus of this role will be maintaining and supporting our product DRIM. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems administration, with expertise in Windows Server, Linux, and Docker. In addition to technical proficiency, excellent communication skills and a customer-centric mindset to effectively support our clients and ensure the smooth operation of the DRIM Software is a very beneficial quality. About You
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, with a proven focus on supporting and maintaining enterprise applications in on-premises environments.
- Strong expertise in Windows Server and Linux environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of applications.
- Understanding what a database is and how to manipulate data inside.
- Proficiency in Docker, with hands-on experience deploying and managing containers in production environments.
- Has proven record working with private cloud solutions running on Azure or AWS, having good knowledge these cloud providers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure to resolve complex technical issues.
- Know what documentation is and has good knowledge of documentation systems (such as Confluence, SharePoint, Service-Now)
- Ability to adapt to each unique customer environment and provide effective solutions to their requests.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Brazil, Mexico or USA residency is required, preferably as close as possible in the EST timezone.
- Fluency in English is obligatory; knowledge of other European languages is also a bonus.
- Experience of 3+ years in using scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python in day to day operation would be a bonus
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for supporting and maintaining DRIM software deployed at our customers' on-premises locations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their unique requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Manage the regular maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and upgrades, to ensure the stability and security of the application.
- Manage the monitoring of the system performance and troubleshoot issues to identify root causes and implement timely resolutions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring timely and effective communication with customers throughout the process, thus holding the SLAs.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including configurations, installation guides, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices, to facilitate knowledge sharing and support efficiency.
- Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on how to use the application effectively and optimize its performance.
